服务社会:开展蒙古高原荒漠化防治调查与研究,担任中蒙荒漠化防治合作中心办公室副主任、驻蒙古主任和中蒙荒漠化防治合作国别主管,协助中央有关部门落实中蒙两国元首共识。撰写了多篇涉蒙古调研报告获中央领导积极批示。
研究工作:主要研究方向为生态水文,荒漠化防治,降雨入渗,光伏生态效应。研究领域包括:
(1)降雨入渗过程研究。在半湿润区、半干旱区与干旱区三大生物气候区研究不同沙区降水、植物水、土壤水和地下水在不同时空尺度变化的特点和转化规律,揭示土壤水时空异质性的主导因素, 直接测量深层土壤水分渗漏量,统计降雨水分对深层土壤水和地下水的补给量。利用时空遥感数据和GIS分析工具,利用水体面积、空间信息,特定植被指标,测算区域尺度因人类活动、植被覆盖、农业活动等造成的地区水资源量变化,特别是利用GEE平台计算地区水资源时序变化特征。
(2)大气水汽利用机理研究。运用同位素、生理生态和分子生物学原理与方法;认识荒漠植物大气水汽吸收、传输过程,研究生理生态响应与识别方法,探索分析植物大气水汽利用的边界条件,解读生理生态响应与适应机制。
(3)表型筛选与识别。定量化采集各类作物、植被群落、生态小流域等不同尺度上的表型性状的原理、方法、手段、指标,快速筛选优势种、生态修复优先区。
(4)荒漠化防治新技术研究。通过土地复垦与农田生态系统恢复,探讨提高土地利用效率和生态系统服务功能的方法,以减少沙漠化进程。分析光伏电站在荒漠地区的布局对植被恢复、土壤保护和水资源利用的影响,评估其在沙漠环境改善中的生态效益和环境效益。研究新型材料(如聚合物、生物材料等)在沙漠环境中的水文效应,探索其对土壤水分调控、植被生长和沙尘固定能力的影响
